Founded in 2023 at Warwick Castle, Comedy at the Castle has quickly gone on to become one of the countries largest and most loved series of comedy festivals.
Whether it’s in the Midlands, the North West or the South West, we have welcome some of the world’s biggest names in comedy, including Frank Sinner, Paul Smith, Frankie Boyle, Russell Kane, Al Murray, Joanne McNally, Nina Conti and so many more across the UK circuit.

Comedy at the Castle is an independently ran festival series ran by people who live and breathe comedy.
A coming together of comedy promoters CLOSEUP COMEDY and street food and festival curators Digbeth Dining Club, the festival was born in 2023 – debuting inside the iconic courtyard of Warwick Castle.
Since then the brand has grown to two more sites; the Deer Park of Powderham Castle in Exeter, and for 2026, inside the medieval walls of Lancaster Castle. It has become the fastest growing comedy festival in the UK.

It’s not just about the comedy
As well as a world class lineup of comedians, we also curate a lineup of some of the best street food traders in the country – including Only Jerkin’, Beef on the Block, Libertine Burger, Brum Mi, Yardbirds and so many more. Plus, if booze if your thing – we will have a load of bars serving up ice cold beers, cocktails, hot drinks and ‘no and low’ products. We’ve got the lot!
